‘Armenia confirms pro-European direction’: Polish PM Tusk on Pashinyan’s election win

Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after the Civil Contract Party emerged as the winner in the parliamentary elections.
Tusk posted a selfie of himself with Pashinyan from an earlier meeting and highlighted that Armenia has confirmed “its pro-European direction.”
“Nikol Pashinyan wins. Armenia has chosen continuity and confirmed its pro-European direction. An important signal that the future of the region is still being written,” Tusk said on X.
Preliminary vote count results showed that the Civil Contract party will retain its majority in parliament with 727,160 votes, or 49.825%.
