‘Stop ironing my head’ – Armcomedy stars teach Conan O’Brien Armenian idioms in hilarious interview
1 minute read
YEREVAN, MAY 12, ARMENPRESS. Hosts of Armcomedy, an Armenian comedy show, Narek Margaryan and Sergey Sargsyan, made an appearance on the American late-night talk show Conan.
The Armenian showmen helped Conan O’Brien, who visited Armenia previously, to learn a few new phrases and expressions in Armenian. The talk-show turned hilariously funny as Conan was trying to learn Armenian idioms like ‘May I go blind instead of you’ and ‘May I die for your height’ – which are endearing expressions translated literally.
Conan O’Brien also learned the two other popular expressions – stop ironing my head, and I die on your body.
Conan said this kind of expressions sound rather odd, while Sergey recommended him to say them correctly.
A part of the interview is available online, while the other part will be released later.
Armcomedy hosted Conan O’Brien in Armenia during his 2015 trip to Armenia.
