Ambassador Mikayel Minasyan attends Armenian Genocide commemorative events in Rome and Naples

YEREVAN, APRIL 26, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Ambassador to the Holy See (Vatican City State) Mikayel Minasyan attended the Armenian Genocide commemorative events in Rome and Naples, the Embassy said, reports Armenpress.

On April 23 the Ambassador took part in the event organized at the Basilica of St. Bartholomew in Rome, thereafter, attended the St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Naples.

On the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the relics of Gregory the Illuminator were near the altar of the Church in Naples which were placed in the Church on April 11, 2015 on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. During this solemn ceremony, Archbishop of Naples, Cardinal Sepe welcomed the guests in Armenian: “Welcome to Naples. This is also Armenians’ home”.
