Russian MFA dismisses information of Russian military convoy entering Armenia through Georgia

YEREVAN, MARCH 24, ARMENPRESS. The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation has denied the information of Russian military convoy entering Armenia through Georgian territory, “Armenpress” reports the statement issued by MFA Russia says.

“Anything can spark propagandistic stir – the lawful decision of Abkhazia to optimize the number of its checkpoints on the border with Georgia, the bilateral agreement allowing citizens of South Ossetia to serve in the Russian army on contractual basis, the alleged deployment of an additional division of S-300 in Abkhazia and now an extremely fantastic story about Russian military convoy entering Armenia through the territory of Georgia”, reads the statement.

The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that similar steps in the informational arena serve to sabotage the next round of Geneva talks.
