Armenia’s humanitarian aid to Syria to be distributed to residents of Latakia, Damascus, Kessab and Aleppo

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 15, ARMENPRESS. The aircraft, transporting humanitarian aid from Armenia to Syria, landed in the Russian Khmeimimairbase located in the Syrian city of Latakia on February 14, press service of the Defense Ministry told “Armenpress”.

Within the framework of the humanitarian mission carried out under the instruction of Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan, the friendly people of Syria will be provided with the first necessary items, mainly food and clothing.

The representatives of Armenia’s Defense, Emergency Situations and Diaspora Ministries, who arrived in Syria to organize the distribution process of the humanitarian aid, were welcomed by Armenia’s Consul General in Aleppo Tigran Gevorgyan in Latakia.

This regular batch of humanitarian aid will be equally distributed to the neediest families of Latakia, Damascus, Kessab, as well as Aleppo.

The humanitarian aid provision program, which is carried out by the assistance of the Russian Reconciliation Center of the conflicting parties in Syria, will be continuous.
