Armenia ready to review agreements with international carriers

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is willing to review agreements and provide international airlines with opportunities to operate flights in new directions with affordable prices, Head of the General Department of Civil Aviation Sergey Avetisyan told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

Avetisyan reminded that Georgia transitioned to the Open Skies policy 10 years ago. “This means that we have entered this field with a little delay. Time is needed for the world to adapt to this, in order to reach the reality that Armenia is ready to review agreements, provide opportunities to operate flights”, he said.

“Tickets aren’t cheap, work needs to be done, but we have to accepts that tickets have gotten quite cheaper compared to the past”, he said.
