Anna Vardapetyan, Maurizio Block discuss cooperation between Armenian and Italian prosecutor's offices

YEREVAN, JUNE 26, ARMENPRESS. On June 26, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan received the delegation led by Maurizio Block, Military Prosecutor-General of the Republic of Italy.

Military Prosecutor, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Grigor Elizbaryan, Italian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Alfonso Di Rizzo, Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Italy Tsovinar Hambardzumyan  also participated in the meeting.

According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan welcomed colleagues from Italy, thanked them for accepting the invitation, and emphasized that the RA Prosecutor's Office is taking continuous steps to develop international legal cooperation and expand interactions with foreign partners for this purpose.

Anna Vardapetyan noted that the visit of Maurizio Block and his delegation is the third visit by high-ranking representatives from the Italian Prosecutor's Office to Armenia in the last two years.

According to the source, during the meeting, among other topics, a number of issues related to the structures of the prosecution systems of the two countries, the scope of their powers, ongoing reforms, and the expansion of cooperation between the prosecutor's offices in the field of criminal justice were discussed.
