Russian MFA comments on assisting transportation of Armenians from Syria

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The Foreign Ministry of Russia commented on the possible assistance of Russia to Armenia in transporting Armenians from Syria.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the issue during a briefing, RT reported.

Asked whether Russia is willing to assist Armenia in transporting representatives of the Armenian community of Syria to Armenia, Zakharova said: “If there is official information, if there are requests from Armenians living in Syria, who wish to relocate to Armenia, then they should inform the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies accordingly. And in case Armenia views the issue positively, it should accordingly address one of the sides which can provide similar assistance. This is a completely normal procedure”.
