Chris Bohjalian visits family of April war volunteer in NKR

YEREVAN, AUGUST 30, ARMENPRESS. Famous American-Armenian writer Chris Bohjalian visited Nagorno Karabakh.

He has been hosted at Anton Abkarian’s home who participated in the April four-day war, reports “Armenpress”.

“Today we visited with a remarkable Armenian family: Anton and Areknaz Abkarian, their three children, and Areknaz’s mother, Varsik. Here they are in their home in Nagorno-Karabakh (or Artaskh). In April, Anton volunteered on the front lines after the unprovoked Azerbaijan attack. He spent 19 days in a trench, while Areknaz and Varsik ran the small farm and cared for the children”, Chris Bohjalian writes on Facebook.
