“Armenians of Podolia: History and Modern Times” conference to be held in Ukraine

YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS. The “Armenians of Podolia: History and Modern Times” workshop conference will be held in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.
According to AnalitikaUA.net, Chairman of the Historic-Cultural Legacy Committee of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Davit Davtyan said the conference is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the foundation of the Armenian Church in Mohyliv-Podilskyi. Renowned Ukrainian scientists will take part in the conference.
Armenians have settled in Mohyliv-Podilskyi in the beginning of the 18th century. In 1743, the first Armenian Church – St. Gregory- was built. In 1791 the second Armenian Church was constructed.
