Wolfsburg forward Andre Schurrle's agent eager to seal Dortmund move

YEREVAN, JULY 14, ARMENPRESS. Andre Schurrle's agent has said he is eager to see the Wolfsburg attacker complete a move to Borussia Dortmund amid speculation a transfer is imminent, ESPN reported.

Schurrle, 25, joined Wolfsburg from Chelsea in February 2015 but only hit top form after the winter break last season, when he scored nine of his 10 league goals since returning to Germany.

Despite the Germany international's fine end to the season, Wolfsburg failed to qualify for a European competition as they finished eighth in the Bundesliga, trailing seventh-placed Hertha Berlin by five points.

He could still play in the Champions League again next season, though, with Sport Bildreporting that Dortmund have agreed a €35 million fee with Wolfsburg and that Schurrle is set to pen a five-year deal at the Westfalenstadion.

"I would very much welcome it if Andre were allowed to embrace the opportunity to play for Dortmund," agent Ingo Haspel told Sport Bild.

Wolfsburg said last week that Schurrle, who endured a disappointing Euro 2016, wasnot for sale, but sporting executive Klaus Allofs indicated that theirstance had changed after the player expressed a desire to move.
