Aznavour charms Bucharest

BUCHAREST, APRIL 29, ARMENPRESS. French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour gave a concert on April 28 in Bucharest’s Sala Palatului. Four thousand people greeted Aznavour with standing ovations.

The legendary singer started the concert with “Les Emigrants”, and continued with his famous songs “Il faut savoir”, “Mes Amours, mes emmerdes”, “Comme ils disent”, “Sa jeunesse”, “Hier encore”, “Mourir d’aimer”, “She”, “La mama”, “Ave Maria”, “Desormais”, “Deux guitars”, “La Boheme” and “Emmenez-moi”.

92 year old Aznavour told his Romanian audience:” I must sing as long as my broken voice is there and my mind is working.”

Earlier, in 1963, half a century ago Aznavour had given a concert in Bucharest.
