Clooney’s Armenia visit in focus of international media

YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS. Famous Hollywood actor George Clooney’s visit to Armenia on the occasion of 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is being widely released by the world media. As “Armenpress” reports, British “Mirror” news website writes that Clooney uses “the attention of mass media to raise the issue of the universal justice”. The journal writes, Armenians especially love wife of George Clooney Amal Clooney who previously worked towards the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

Another British journal “Independent” cited the words of Clooney with a joke which says that he is in Armenia as “Amal’s spose”.

CBS Los Angeles published an article entitled “George Clooney urges to officially recognize the Armenian Genocide”, stating that the actor raises his voice for the recognition of the Genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire.

The DailyMail referring to Clooney’s visit, writes: “Hollywood actor and the Human Rights Defender visited the memorial complex with thousands of Armenians in Yerevan commemorating the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide committed in the Ottoman Empire during the First World War”.
