PM Pashinyan leads workshop in Dilijan on enhancing economic competitiveness

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in a business workshop titled “Increasing Armenia’s Economic Competitiveness through Improving Policies and Administration” in Dilijan, the Prime Minister’s office said in a readout.
The workshop, held in a government–business community format, was organized at the initiative of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. It aimed to identify issues pertaining to economic activity and the investment environment through broad-based, open, and effective discussions, to uncover new development opportunities, improve management efficiency, and clarify reform priorities for joint decision-making.
In his welcoming speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked the representatives of the business community, experts, and officials representing various sectors of the economy for their participation and active involvement in the workshop. He addressed the priorities and current challenges of Armenia's economic development in detail, emphasizing the importance of continuous, constructive, and effective dialogue between the executive branch and the private sector.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of forming an agenda for upcoming economic activities as an outcome of the workshop, based on the logic of working together. In that context, he highlighted the importance of developing a common economic roadmap aimed at serving the state interest, as well as the need to form a certain agreement and shared understanding around it.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the participants’ willingness to engage in the discussions and expressed hope that the workshop would result in a better understanding of future actions. Following the Prime Minister’s speech, several panel discussions were held.
During the discussions, participants addressed sector-specific issues and the economic opportunities available for their resolution.
The workshop also discussed the importance of increasing the effectiveness of ongoing reforms, the need to improve the administration of the State Revenue Committee, and the importance of ensuring the inclusiveness of decisions made by the executive branch.
At the end of the workshop, the Prime Minister presented the ideology of “Real Armenia.”
