Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said he would consider it a personal failure if he leaves office without Armenia’s peace agreement with Azerbaijan being signed and ratified.
“My goal is to end my tenure as prime minister with the peace agreement signed and ratified. If this does not happen, I will consider it a personal failure,” Pashinyan told reporters during a briefing.
Armenia and Azerbaijan initialed the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, 2025.
