The NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs will hold parliamentary hearings on the draft Electoral Code on March 22. The participants will present problematic issues of the draft, as well as suggestions and proposals for solving them.
March 22 is World Water Day. On this occasion the AWS (Armenian Water and Sewerage) is organizing a trip to Ashtarak city. The unprecedented control center of the region will be presented, where the "Skada" system allows to remotely control the water supply and sewerage systems. Now the center is doing monitoring works on machinery, reservoirs, pumping stations, consumed electricity, and consumed/produced water. Other details of the center's activities will be presented by "AWS" CJSC General Director Patrick Loren.
Water will be the topic of discussions during the day. Today the conference entitled "Water as the basis of sustainable development" will take place in the framework of "Let's Take Care, Armenia -World Water Day 2016" social-environmental project.
794 students will be refunded their tuition fees. On this occasion, a compensation certificate awarding ceremony will be organized by the Youth Foundation of Armenia. The event will be attended by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, who will hand over the certificates to ex-servicemen, who are currently studying. RPA Co-chair Armen Ashotyan will also take part in the ceremony.
"Millennial fraternal friendship of Armenians and Greeks" event will take place in Yerevan. It is dedicated to the Greek independence. A welcome speech will be given by NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece Ioannis Tais, YSLU Rector Gayane Gasparyan, President of the Human rights,Policy, Humanitarian Issues Association Lt. General Eduard Manevidis and other officials.
Events dedicated to Artsakh will take place at the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Folk Art Center. The presentation of the book "Artsakh folklore" will take place here. Followed by performances of folk songs, and film screenings. The exhibition entitled "Decorative-applied arts of Artsakh." will also kick off today.
"Karin" folk song and dance group will give a concert dedicated to its upcoming 15th anniversary, which will present the results of the work done over the years. The concert will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education.
