Presentation of the book “The Armenian Genocide: 100 years of silence” takes place in Rome

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Presentation of the book “TheArmenian Genocide:100 yearsofsilence” (Il Genocidio Armeno: 100 Anni di Silenzio) took place in Rome on December 16 organized by the Armenian embassy in Italy. The book was published in 2015 as a result of joint efforts of the Armenian embassy in Italy, “Assadaka” Italian-Arabassociation and the Mediterranean Center. Gian Micalessin,AnnaMazzone and Alessandro Aramu are the authors of the book.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of MFA Armenia, President of “Assadaka” Italian-Arabassociation and the Mediterranean Center Raymond Schiavone, authors of the book and photographers told about their visit to Armenia, meetings with the last survivors and referred to Turkish denialism. They also attached much importance to teaching about genocides, including the Armenian genocide, public educational institutions taking it as a required component for genocide prevention.

Students, public and political figures, representatives of the Armenian community and mass media attended the event.
