UN Secretary-General called for destruction of all nuclear weapons in the world

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called for the destruction of all nuclear weapons in the world, on Monday, sending a video message to the conference, which opened in Seoul on disarmament and non-proliferation, “Armenpress” reports, citing RIA Novosti.

"Now is the time to intensify our efforts to rid the world of these most destructive weapons,” he said. According to Ban Ki-moon it is "the most important task to ensure regional and global security."

Conference takes place in Seoul with the participation of 130 representatives of governmental and research organizations in South Korea, the United Nations and experts from abroad.
