Defendants in case about accident at «blue» line of Moscow metro were convicted to terms from 5, 5 to 6, 5 years of imprisonment

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS.Dorogomilovsky court of Moscow has found guilty four defendants in the criminal case about the accident in the Moscow metro, reports POLENTA.

In the dock were senior road master, Valery Bashkatov, Deputy head of the repair service paths Alexey Trofimov, assistant road master Yury Gordov and the Deputy head of the company "Spectorcontrol" Anatoly Kruglov. They were charged under part 3 of article 263 of the RF criminal code ("Violation of safety rules of movement and operation of underground, entailed death of two and more persons").

View and sentence the accused, the court will determine in the operative part of its decision. "The judge may not be able to announce the full sentence today, November 9", — said the press Secretary of the court.

In the near future will conclude the investigation of the second criminal case on the fact of the accident, reported earlier, on 9 November, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Vladimir Markin, reports “Interfax”, as “Armenpress informs.

It held the officers and Directors of the Moscow metro. A total of six people, among them the chief of service of the Yuri Silyanov and his Deputy, Valery Malyshev.

They are also charged with violation of the rules of safe operation of underground, entailed death of two and more persons. "In the near future investigatory actions on this criminal case will be finished, and accused will start acquaintance with its materials", — said Markin.

According to him, during examinations, the investigation explores the degree of guilt of "other metro employees as well as organizations that were required to organise and carry out building control work on laying the switch, but did not".

The accident in the tunnel between stations "Park Pobedy" and "Slavic Boulevard" blue line of the Moscow metro occurred on 15 July 2014. A sudden stop of the whole had resulted in three carriages derailed. As a result 24 people were killed, more than 150 got wounds of different severity. According to the investigation, the accident was caused by violations committed while operating the switch. The disaster is considered the largest in the history of the Moscow metro.

The other day it became known thatthree of the victimson the case about the accident in the subway, want to recover from defendants 34 million rubles as compensation of moral harm. Previously a lawsuit to recover from the four defendants 3 million rubles as compensation for moral damage claimed another victim Natalia Koteneva.

In addition, in April 2015 the plaintiff Mikhail Popov, who at the time of the accident in the Moscow metro killed the mother, through courtcollectedfrom the Metropolitan 400 thousand rubles as compensation of moral harm.
