PM Hovik Abrahamyan attends festive evening dedicated to Henrik Malyan’s 90th anniversary and 35th anniversary of homonym theater

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan attended the festive evening dedicated to Henrik Malyan’s 90th anniversary and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the theater. Archival materials about the theater and its creator Henrik Malyan were presented and parts of older performances were played during the evening.
As “Armenpress” was informed from Information and Public Relations Department of the Government, after the evening the Head of the Government congratulated the art director of the theatre Narine Malyan and the actors on the anniversary and wished them new creative success. Emphasizing that the cultural sphere is under the attention of the Government, the PM expressed readiness on behalf of the Executive to continue the state assistance aimed to ensure the normal operation of the theater.
Director Hanrik Malyan established Actors Theater Studio, which was an exceptional phenomenon during the 1980s and was called after its founder. The current art director of the theater is Henrik Malyan’s daughter, Narine Malyan, who continues her father’s job.
