UMood chooses clothes according to your mood
2 minute read

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Uniqlo has just unveiled the UMood – a machine that will find customers the perfect T-shirt by reading their mind.
Here’s how it works. First, you sit in the booth and put on a headset. You then watch a large screen which displays a bunch of images and videos, include kittens and rainstorms. Sounds like a fun way to kill ten minutes, even without all the high-tech shopping wizardry. “Armenpress” reports referring to Metro that while you’re watching the screen, your headset is monitoring your brainwaves, and will judge your mood based on how you respond to each image.
The UMood will then offer up four t-shirt suggestions to match your mood. Judging from your reaction, it’ll then unite you with the one perfect t-shirt to perfectly reflect how you’re feeling. Magical.
The UMood isn’t quite advanced enough to pick up on stuff like personal style choices or office dress codes.
But still. If you’re overwhelmed by stacks of t-shirts and just want to find one you feel a close, emotional connection with, this will be perfect for you.
Uniqlo have introduced the UMood in Sydney to start with, and plans to roll it out across Australia – and eventually worldwide – if it goes down well.
