Montebello mayor Jack Hadjinian raises more than $90,000 in re-election bid

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Mayor Jack Hadjinian has raised more than $90,000 in his bid for a second four-term on the City Council. “Armenpress” reports referring to Whittier Daily News that it’s two to three times more than most of the other seven candidates in the Nov. 3 election, according to the campaign finance reports filed with the Montebello City Clerk’s Office.

More than 20 percent of the money came from the Armenian community. Other donations– nearly 8 percent of his total – were given by those with contracts with the city, including $1,000 from Athens Services which recently lost a lawsuit that voided its $150 million, 15-year exclusive trash contract with Montebello.

The elections will be held on November 3. Montebello City Council another candidates are Fernando Chacon, Kimberly Ann Cobos, Christina Cortez, Vanessa Delgado, Bill Paolisso, Michael Samarin-Popoff and Randy Smith.
