Gas supplied by RF to Armenia cut by 24 USD

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia signed an agreement about Russian gas price change. “Armenpress” reports, citing “TASS”, that according to the agreement the price per 1,000 cubic meters of gas will decrease from 189 USD to 165 USD.
The sides also signed a protocol about the sales of the shares of “Armgasprom” and changes of its future activities. According to the document, the Armenian side is obliged to ensure effective economic activities both inside the country and in regard to exportation.
The Energy Minister of the RF, Alexander Novak, announced that 70.000 tons of oil products and 1 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Armenia without customs duty in the first half of the current year.
