Within one week rival fires more than 16 thousand shots towards Armenian frontier troops

STEPANAKERT, AUGUST 22, ARMENPRESS. According to the operative data, provided by the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, within August 16-22 the rival violated the ceasefire regime for about 900 times in the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies during which more than 16 thousand shots were made towards the Armenian troops from weapons of different caliber, including 60 and 82 mm mortars, AGS-17 and RPG-7 grenade launchers.

Armenpress was informed from the Press Service of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Ministry that due to the operative actions taken by Defense Army frontier troops the rival’s activeness was subdued.
