Audit in “ENA” to be launched in two days

YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS. Audit in “Electric Networks of Armenia "CJSC will be launched in two days which will clarify if the increase of the tariff was justified. “Armenpress” reports that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, mentioned about this during a meeting with the participants of the “Baze” annual youth gathering.

“The audit will be complete within 2-3 months and we will express our standpoint based on the results. The Government will also try to take measures not to allow the increase of the tariff to become a burden for the citizens if, of course, the audit and the consultation held at the Public Services Regulatory Commissionjustify the increase of the tariff”, mentioned Hovik Abrahamyan, reminding that the company which will hold consultations at the PSRC has already been selected.

The PM also mentioned that the increase of electricity tariff by 6.93 drams will be covered by the Government until the audit is over. The expenses will be covered by the funds raised from the sale of the Vorotan power station complex.
