The M1 Garand rifle of the 35th President of the USA John Kennedy will be auctioned in September. “Armenpress” reports citing Washington Times that Rock Island Auction Companyassesses the condition of the rifle as good and theinitial auctionprice has been determined at 100.000 USD.
Back in October, 1959, while still a senator, received that rifle. In all probability the rifle accompanied Kennedy for more than 2.5 years. According to available information Kennedy did not use the rifle after being elected as the President of the USA.
