Emil Tarasyan: Armenia to apply for becoming part of major industries in EAEU

YEREVAN, JULY 21, ARMENPRESS. Armenia applies for becoming part of major industries in the Eurasian Economic Union. Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Emil Tarasyan emphasized that formats through which Armenia can cooperate with the member states of the EAEU will be discussed. Emil Tarasyan told the above mentioned in an interview with journalists during a conference in the Ministry of Economy about industrial cooperation between member states in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union
“One of that formats, for example, are cooperatives. Realizing that we have transportation issues and organizational problems of heavy and raw materials production, he we are talking about Armenia should take part of the production chain and participate in it. For instance, if European cars, such as Mercedes or BMW, are produced in the free economic zones of Kaliningrad, Armenia should take part in that process by organizing production of component parts and become part of the production chain. We apply for becoming part of major industries in this and other directions”, as “Armenpress” reports, said the Deputy Minister of Economy, adding that he mentioned only one direction but there are a number of directions, such as construction, light industry and so on.
