YEREVAN, JUNE 5, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the Republic of France, met the Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi on June 5.
As Armenress was informed by the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Office of the President, welcoming the President of the Republic of Armenia, Mayor Estrosi mentioned that Armenia is the honorary guest of one of the most popular festivals of the world – world-famous international musical festival “Midem.”
President Serzh Sargsyan thanked for the warm reception and stressed that Nice is a sister country with the capital of Armenia Yerevan and France is a unique country for Armenia and the Armenian people. The President noted that people in Armenia are familiar with Christian Estrosi’s activities and his careful attitude towards Armenians. As Serzh Sargsyan said, the commemoration ceremonies held in Nice on the centennial of the Armenian Genocide on April 24 of this year and sharing the deep sorrow of the Armenian people are a great evidence of that attitude.
