Armenia's President attends consecration ceremony of St Anna Church

YEREVAN, APRIL 30, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan today attended the consecration ceremony of the newly-built St Anna Church located next to the Holy Mother of God Katoghike Church in Yerevan. The Mass Media and Public Relations Department of the President’s Office informed “Armenpress” that the ceremony was presided over by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

St Anna Church and Yerevan Pontifical Residence have been built under the sponsorship of Hirair and Anna Hovnanians, and the architect is Vahagn Movsisyan.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the church was held on April 30 of 2011 and the construction was completed in April of 2015.
