YEREVAN, 20 MARCH, ARMENPRESS: The delegation of State Duma's CIS Affairs Committee intends to visit Gyumri and lay wreath at the tomb of the killed Avetisyans’ family. Armenpress reports, citing RIA Novosti that Leonid Slutsky, the Chairman of the committee told journalists about this on March 20.
He has underscored that on March 28, the committee members plan to hold a joint session with the committee of the foreign policy of Armenia's National Assembly. The agenda includes the Eurasian integration, migration issues, as well as discussion on issues of the 100th anniversary of the Genocide of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
On March 29, the State Duma Committee delegation supposedly will visit Gyumri. “As per tragedy in Gyumri, it did not become a pivotal issue and did not split with official Yerevan, as predicted our political opponents. Now the investigation is underway. We intend to lay flowers at the tomb of Avetisyans’ family”, the Russian MP noted.
