Armenian Genocide Centennial Commemoration events in Gyumri set to kick off on March 5th

GYUMRI, 4 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Gyumri are set to kick off on March 5th. Aspress speaker of the mayor of Gyumri Lilit Makaryantold “Armenpress”, there will be different kinds of events, including literary and musical events, as well as exhibitions and film screenings.“Cultural institutions under the subordination of Gyumri Municipality have already discussed and approved the list of events, and the emphasis will be on the idea of renaissance. The cultural institutions under the subordination of the municipality will hold different kinds of events before and after April 24th,”Lilit Makaryan mentioned.

By the assignment of the mayor, a working group consisting of members of cultural institutions and representatives of the municipality has been created. Preparations are over, and the first event will be held at Art School N 1 of Gyumri on March 5th.
