Number of domestic tourists increased in Armenia

YEREVAN, MARCH 2, ARMENPRESS: The domestic tourism has increased by 28,4% in Armenia. Last year 859,703 tourists stayed in the hotels and hostels of Armenia, the majority of which mentioned recreation and entertainment as a tourist objective. According to the data provided by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the number of the travelers with recreation and entertainment objective has increased by 41,8%.

Armenpress reports that 22% of the domestic tourists left from one point to another with business purposes. Their number has increased by 20,9% and made 189,465 people. The number of the treatment-seeking tourists is 84,133, which is 9,8% of the domestic tourists. The number of the treatment-seeking tourists has grown by 40,4%.
