Armenia attaches great importance to U.S. role in maintaining regional security

YEREVAN, 18 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received today Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland.

As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Structure to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the President greeted the high-ranking guest in Armenia and voiced hope that Mrs. Nuland’s visit to Yerevan would give a new impetus to the high-level Armenia-U.S. dialogue. According to the President of the Republic, such visits serve as a good opportunity to discuss issues on the bilateral and regional agendas and seek joint solutions to the existing problems.

Serzh Sargsyan emphasized the fact that Armenia attaches great importance to the role of the United States in maintaining security and stability in the region, especially as a co-chairing country of the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as the active involvement of the United States in the peaceful regulation of the Karabakh issue.
