YEREVAN, DECEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has ratified the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. As reports “Armenpress”, Rossiya 1 TV company stated about this.
A session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the highest level will be held in Moscow on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. The end of process of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will be announced at the course of the session. The structure will start full-fledged functioning from January 1, 2015. Armenia will become a full-fledged member of the structure from the next day.
In May Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan already signed and ratified the agreement on creation of the Eurasian Economic Union since January 1 2015 and the agreement on Armenia’s joining the EEU was signed in Minsk on October 10 2014. It is intended that the document is ratified in the parliaments of the EEU countries and Armenia by January 1 2015. In May the action plan of Kyrgyzstan’s joining the Eurasian integration was also signed.
