Armenian and Georgian PMs reaffirm existing strong friendly relations

YEREVAN, 11 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The governmental delegation led by Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is on an official visit to Tbilisi at the invitation of Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. After the private talks and the wide-format negotiations between the official delegations, Prime Ministers Hovik Abrahamyan and Irakli Garibashvili met with mass media representatives at the press center of the Government of Georgia and issued a joint statement summing up the results of the negotiations.

The Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia has provided the text of the statements of the Armenian and Georgian Prime Ministers to “ArmenPress”.

Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan mentioned that the meeting was held in a very warm and friendly atmosphere, adding that the sides reaffirmed the existing strong, friendly relations between the two countries and the willingness to further develop the existing relations and discussed a broad range of issues of mutual interest that were related to trade and economic relations, the development of infrastructures, the improvement of transport, as well as the deepening of humanitarian and cultural relations. Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili mentioned that the passing year stood out with the active relations between Armenia and Georgia and that today’s meeting was the continuation of the dialogue over issues of mutual interest that began in Yerevan.
