Arman Khachaturyan told EuroNews about Armenia’s tourism peculiarities

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: In the framework of the international exhibition World Travel Market 2014 in London, the leading international TV channel EuroNews interviews Arman Khachaturyan, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia about the diverse tourism products showcased in London.

“We are known for our culture, for our heritage, for our history. And our tourism products are inherently embedded in the experience and in the history that we have”,- Arman Khachatryan said.

The press service of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia informed Armenpress that getting to the inbound tourism, he noted that one of the major influxes into the country is from Russia and from Western Europe. According to him, the Germans come for eco-tourism, the Italians for heritage and history, and the Russians for leisure tourism.

“And we are trying to cater to all the needs by creating very specific products,” -Arman Khachatryan said.

The National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia, along with 5 Armenian travel agencies, represents Armenia at the World Travel Market annual exhibition, which takes place in London, UK from November 3-6. Armenia and Artsakh share a joint booth.
