Tourism expert suggests opening cadastre of tourist resources

YEREVAN, JUNE 13, ARMENPRESS.The world has changed, as well as tourists, their demands and approaches. In these circumstances, it is necessary to train such people that will satisfy the demands of a new tourist. This was stated by the Rector of Armenian Tourism Institute, tourism expert Robert Minasyan. "We cannot work the way we did before, we should think about creating a new tourism product, which will be a target for any tourist" – reports “Armenpress”, citing Minasyan.

According to him, the Armenian tourism infrastructure – establishment of hotels, guest houses, reconstruction of roads, museums, has gone ahead, but the development of human resources has been left out. "It is necessary for us to organize and conduct a cadastre of tourist resources. The nation is hospitable, we have tourist zones, it is necessary for us to know how many people can be accepted in this or that area, what tourism offers we can provide, what kind of professionals we need" – noted the expert.
