Hovik Abrahamyan and Katherine Leach discuss expansion prospects of Armenian-British cooperation

YEREVAN, JUNE 12, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia Katherine Leach.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that welcoming the guest Hovik Abrahamyan noted that Armenia is interested in the comprehensive development of relations with Great Britain. According to the Prime Minister, corresponding to the Armenian-British high level political dialogue it is necessary to develop the economic cooperation as well. There is unrealized great potential, the volumes of the goods turnover are small, and the Government of the Republic of Armenia is ready to carry out certain programs directed to the goods turnover ties.

At the course of the meeting the interlocutors discussed the possible directions of the further expansion of the bilateral partnership. Hovik Abrahamyan underscored that the involvement of the investments is priority for the development of Armenia's economy.
