Armenia’s President receives Catholicos-Patriarch of House of Cilicia of Armenian Catholics Nerses Bedros XIX

YEREVAN, MAY 30, ARMENPRESS. Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received Catholicos-Patriarch of the House of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholics Nerses Bedros XIX. As a member of the state committee coordinating the events devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Catholicos-Patriarch has recently participated in the fourth session of the commission held in Yerevan. He has also attended the festive ceremonies organized on the occasion of the celebration of the Republic in Sardarapat by the invitation of the President of the Republic.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s Staff of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that Catholicos-Patriarch of the House of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholics and the President of the Republic of Armenia attached mutual importance to the combination of the efforts for the welfare of the Armenian people, the cooperation and unity of the state and the Armenian Churches in the solution of the national issues, the work directed to the preservation of Armenians in the Diaspora and the strengthening of Homeland-Diaspora ties.
