Armenia's Prime Minister and Ambassador of Latvia discuss issues related to further development of relations

YEREVAN, MAY 22, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan on May 22 received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia Elita Gavele. The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that welcoming the Ambassador in the Government of the Republic of Armenia the Prime Minister noted that he attaches importance to the strengthening and further development of the ties with Latvia. ''There is a great potential of the development of relations between our two countries. In that connection we stress the importance of the activity of the bilateral inter-governmental commission,'' Hovik Abrahamyan noted.
In her turn, Elita Gavele congratulated the Prime Minister on the occasion of the approval of the Government's program in the National Assembly and wished him new successes for the sake of the welfare of Armenia. The Ambassador underscored that her country is also interested in the deepening and expansion of ties with Armenia.
The Prime Minister asked the Ambassador to hand the invitation to the Head of the Government of Latvia on visiting Armenia. Hovik Abrahamyan stated that mutual visits of such level will contribute to making the economic and political ties between the two countries closer.
