GAVAR, MARCH 11, ARMENPRESS: The Getik Village of the Gegharkunik Marz is gradually becoming popular among the foreign tourists, who are interested in the development of tourism in the area. The Head of the Getik Village Sargis Ayunts informed Armenpress that more than 60 Swiss tourists and a six-member German family visited Getik in 2013, who for several days were enjoying the nature abundance of the Getik valley, the Armenian cuisine and the hospitality.
The development of tourism in Getik is fostered by the Polish agro-tourist organization, which, in cooperation with the Millennium Educational and Cultural Organization, has already made significant steps, advertising the attractiveness of Getik in the international market, inviting to the village tourist groups and tourism lovers. By now the Organization has prepared nine apartments to host foreign guests, which meet the international standards.
