Unknown criminals kill Armenian businessman in Crimea

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 25, ARMENPRESS. In the result of an armed attack the owner of “Malibu” Hotel complex Stepan Chorokhyan died in the Simferopol city of Crimea on February 24 evening. Armenpress reports citing the Ukrainian “Crimea: Comments” website that the dead body of the Armenian entrepreneur was discovered in the entrance of the block of flats where he lived. Stepan Chorokhyan died before the ambulance arrived from three gunshot bullets and six blows of knife.

“There was not small amount of money at the victim in Ukrainian hryvni, as well as an expensive mobile phone and gold jewelry. The criminals did not touch anything,” the website informs.

Crimean law enforcement bodies confirmed the death presumption. “Premeditated murder” with the first part of Article 115, criminal case was aroused. Now investigation is carried out and all the needed events are held for the investigation,” officer of Simferopol department of the police Oksana Sorokopudova stated.
