Tigran Sargsyan summarizes results for meeting with his Russian counterpart

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 24, ARMENPRESS. After the meeting with the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan introduced some details of the meeting in a conversation with the journalists.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that Tigran Sargsyan stated in particular that they discussed the realization process of the events envisaged by “Road map” of Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space. “The events already carried out by Armenia were recorded. Russian side highly appreciated the results of our working groups’ activities. Issues on how Russia should support us to invest “Road map” more efficiently were discussed since grant funds are also needed to be provided for the formation of infrastructures, creation of united database, as well as, having united nets. We expect our partners’ support there,” the Prime Minister said.

According to the Prime Minister, there are calculations on what means are needed to improve those infrastructures. But those indexes will be introduced after the completion of negotiations.

The next important question that the Prime Ministers of Armenia and Russia discussed related to the investments programs of “Rosneft” company in Armenia. “Investments of around 500 million dollars will be carried out in Armenia. Naturally the investments relate to “Nairit” factory since mainly the current employees of “Nairit” will work in the factory to be established,” the Prime Minister said.
