Armenia’s President attends “Haykyan” award giving ceremony

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 22, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in the evening of February 21 attended “Haykyan” award giving ceremony which was defined by the Youth Foundation of Armenia in Yerevan State Chamber Theatre. The organizers assure that the aim of this annual award is to stimulate the activity of the students' self-government members in the republic, youth original initiatives, involvement of the youth in science. According to the organizers, the goal of the award giving ceremony is work activities in the international organizations and state youth policy. The initiative aims at encouraging all the youth organizations which were specified by their activity and the content of the carried out programs at the course of the year. According to the organizers of the award, the number of the organizations representing bids in different categories gradually increases.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s Staff of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the best youth and student organizations, as well as the best youth programs in 2013 youth sector were awarded in more than a dozen nominations at award giving ceremony. Besides the traditional nominations, special awards were defined. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan delivered the prizes.
