Canada’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia passes his credentials to Serzh Sargsyan

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, ARMENPRESS. Today, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Republic of Armenia John Kyorr passed credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

Armenpress” was informed from the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s office of the Republic of Armenia that Srezh Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out diplomatic mission in our country.

At the course of the meeting both sides highlighted with satisfaction that the Armenian-Canadian relations develop dynamically both in bilateral and multilateral formats. The President noted that there is also certain activeness in trade-economic relations. Srezh Sargsyan and Ambassador Kyorr shared the opinion that the two countries have no essential disagreements around the main issues and cooperate efficiently in the international structures. All that, according to them, is due to the mutual sympathy between the friendly Armenian and Canadian peoples, as well as the Canadian-Armenian community having certain contribution to the social-political life of Canada.

The interlocutors held a discussion upon the possibilities of developing cooperation in all spheres under interest, using the current potential, as well as strengthening Armenian –Canadian relations. The President of the Republic of Armenia attached great importance to the role of the newly appointed Ambassador John Kyorr and wished him success in his responsible work.
