Prime Minister hands souvenirs and certificates to Mass media representatives

YEREVAN, JANUARY 13, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan on the occasion of New Year and Christmas holidays convened a reception of mass media representatives in the session hall of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and himself the Prime Minister congratulated the participants on the occasion of the holidays, wished them a fruitful and interesting job. “Armenpress” was informed from the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia that Tigran Sargsyan noted in particular:

“The role of mass media in Armenia is extremely important today, especially if we take into consideration the fact that you took on a complex and responsible function in the strengthening of democracy during the last five years. It is hard to imagine the formation of civil society without your active participation, success in that area will be conditioned by your efficient work as well. We frequently talk about responsible mass media because you also form an authority and are able to create moods, put forward new ideas and , why not, lead our society. From that point of view I attach importance to those successes that we record in media , especially when we see deep analytical materials that are essential for the construction of civil society. I wish you new success in that field. I wish 2014 to bring us love, harmony , peace expecting you first of all to spread these moods in the society”.
