Lebanese businessmen make investment of USD 400 million in Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lebanon to the Republic of Armenia Jean Makaron highly appreciated the level of the Armenian-Lebanese relations for 2013 and highlighted the increasing presence of Lebanon in the Armenian economy. In a conversation with “Armenpress” Ambassador Makaron underscored: “The Armenian-Lebanese ties are of a certain importance. They continue further improvement and this contributes to the establishment of closer relations between the Armenian and Lebanese peoples.”

The total volume of investments of the Lebanese private sector in Armenia reaches about USD 400 million. Among other things the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lebanon to the Republic of Armenia Jean Makaron welcomed the restoration of air communication between Beirut and Yerevan, which enables the Lebanese-Armenians to visit motherland without any difficulties.
