Armenian Government to raise country’s competitiveness in tourism

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS: The Government of the Republic of Armenia has developed a program of events directed to the improvement of the country’s competitiveness in the world tourism market. It will be discussed and submitted to the Executive’s approval at the session of the Armenian Government on November 21. Armenpress reports that the program aims at the increase of the Armenia’s competitiveness in the international tourism market, as well as the rise of the Armenia’s position in the World Tourism Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum.

Earlier Armenpress informed that the number of tourists coming to Armenia increased by 14,3%. By the results of the analyses of the World Tourism Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum 2013, Armenia occupied the 79th place among 140 countries. In comparison with 2011, the position of Armenia advanced by 11 horizontals.
