Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan to award a group of members of National Academy of Sciences

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 15, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, in occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, has signed decrees on dedicating honored titles and awarding with order of honor and medals to a group of members of the academy for the considerable contribution and outstanding services made in the field of science and education.

As Armenpress was informed by the Information and Public Relations Department of the President’s staff, the President of the Republic of Armenia has awarded some of the members with "Order of Saint Mesrop Mashtots", the others with« "Medal of Anania Shirakatsi" and "Medal of Movses Khorenatsi".

According to another decree, signed by the President, a number of members have been dedicated honored titles-Honored Worker of Science and Honored Worker of Art.

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan signed the decrees guided by the 16th point o f Article 55 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, as well as taking as a basis the Law of the Republic of Armenia on "honored titles of the Republic of Armenia".
