Armenian President attended rural conference

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS:The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit to Vayots Dzor Marz on October 5. The President attended the 3rd conference of rural communities launched on October 3, during which the issues related to the local self-governing system and the urgent problems of the rural communities were discussed.

As Armenpress was reported by the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Armenian President’s Office, Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that the comfort of the population, the improvement of their living conditions and the provision of the quality educational, health and other services should be in the base of the reforms.

In the framework of the working visit, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan visited the construction site of Jermuk Resort and got acquainted with the building works. The construction works of the Jermuk Resort were launched in 2008 and will be completed in 2015. The total investments will make $20 million.
